ChatGPT or Season for your store’s Instagram?
ChatGPT is a general assistant that helps you make each post: you prompt, size, write, plan and post. Season runs the whole loop from your store, and you check the week on Saturday.

Where ChatGPT does well
Free to start, cheap to keep
ChatGPT’s free plan includes everyday text chats and some image creation. Go is $8 a month and Plus is $20 a month, as shown from the US.

One assistant for brainstorming, writing, planning, math, coding and reading images and files, so the same tool can help with emails, product descriptions and post ideas.
Source, checked Oct 13, 2026Images on every plan
ChatGPT Images creates new images and edits ones you upload, in any aspect ratio, and can add text to them. It’s available on every plan.

Source, checked Oct 13, 2026Connects to other apps

Who should pick which
Pick ChatGPT if
- You want one assistant for everything: emails, product descriptions, ideas and the odd post.
- You enjoy making each post and want help with the words and pictures, not a plan.
- You need a free or low-cost tool and have time to prompt, check and post by hand.
- You write for several networks or in several languages.
Pick Season if
- You want the posts made and published, not a chat to start each one.
- You’d rather approve a planned week in 2 minutes than prompt, size, write and post every time.
- You want every post in your brand’s colors, fonts and voice, made from your store’s products and prices.
- Instagram is your main channel, and feed posts and carousels are enough.
Where Season is different
The whole loop, from your store
Season reads your store’s products, photos and prices, then plans, designs, writes and publishes your posts. There’s no prompt to write and nothing to copy from one app to another.
Made to size, in your look
Every post is designed at Instagram’s 4:5 size in one of three looks Season builds from your brand, with a caption in your voice.
A plan that keeps itself
A whole season of posts (3 months by default) is planned across topics made for your store and goes out at set times, so the plan doesn’t depend on you remembering.
Two minutes on Saturday
Every Saturday you see the coming week. Skip a post or change it in one line; if you do nothing, the week goes out as planned.
What Season doesn’t do
- Instagram posts only: no emails, product descriptions or other writing.
- Instagram only: no Facebook, TikTok or other networks.
- Feed posts and carousels only: no Reels, Stories or video.
- No inbox and no comment replies; analytics are light.
- No free plan, and the trial needs a card.

Questions
Can ChatGPT post to Instagram for me?
None of the OpenAI pages we read on Oct 13, 2026 describes ChatGPT publishing to Instagram on its own. Its Images help page says you can save an image or share it to another app, and its plugin directory lists Metricool, to analyze and schedule posts, which you connect with your own account there. On paid plans except Go, ChatGPT’s cloud browser can carry out steps on websites you sign in to, but OpenAI doesn’t say whether Instagram is one, and some websites block it. Season publishes every post for you through Instagram’s official API.
How much does ChatGPT cost compared with Season?
On Oct 13, 2026, ChatGPT’s pricing page, seen from the US, showed Free at $0, Go at $8 a month and Plus at $20 a month. It also lists Pro, for research and coding, from $100 a month, and Business, for teams of 2 or more. The page says Go may include ads. Season is $39 a month, or $99 every 3 months ($33 a month).
Is ChatGPT enough to run my store’s Instagram?
It can be, if you have the time. ChatGPT drafts captions and makes images when you ask, but you write each prompt, check the facts, size the image, keep the plan and post. Season does those steps from your store, and you check the week on Saturday.
Can I use ChatGPT and Season together?
Yes. ChatGPT can keep helping with emails, product descriptions and one-off ideas while Season plans, designs and posts your Instagram. If you want a fact in your posts, like a new price or holiday hours, add it under Facts your posts can use, in Brand.
