How Season keeps your Instagram safe
Season posts through Instagram’s official API. You log in on Instagram’s own screen, Season never sees your password, and nothing goes out that you can’t see, skip or change first.
Your Instagram connection
Season uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login, the official way for apps to publish for professional accounts.
You log in on Instagram, not on Season
When you connect, Instagram opens its own login screen. You type your password there, and Instagram gives Season permission to do exactly what’s listed below. Season never sees or stores your password.
Only professional accounts (Business or Creator) can be connected. Switching is free in Instagram and you keep your followers.
What Season never does
Season doesn’t ask for the permissions it would need to read or send your messages, like, follow or comment. Without them, it simply can’t.
Season is not affiliated with Meta. Instagram is a trademark of Meta.
The three permissions Season asks for
| Permission | In plain words |
|---|---|
| instagram_ | Read your profile and postsYour username, account type, profile picture, follower and post counts, and your posts. |
| instagram_ | Publish postsThe posts of your season, at the scheduled times. Before a post goes live, everything can change. |
| instagram_ | Read post statsReach, views, likes, comments, saves and shares of the posts Season published, to adjust your mix of topics. |
You stay in control
Season runs on its own, and you can step in at any point.
You see every week first
Every Saturday, the coming week arrives by email and in the app. Skip any post in one tap, or change it in one line. Until a post goes live, everything can change. No answer from you? Everything goes out as planned.
Disconnect anytime
In Season, go to Settings, then Disconnect Instagram. Or in Instagram, go to Settings and activity, then Apps and websites. When you remove Season in Instagram, Meta tells us and we delete the access token right away.
Delete your account, everything goes
Your season and visuals, your brand, the photos and PDFs you added, and Season’s access to your Instagram are deleted, and your subscription is canceled. We keep only your invoices, for as long as tax law requires. Posts already published stay on Instagram: they’re yours.
Tried Season without an account? That anonymous draft is deleted automatically 30 days after you last used it, or sooner if you ask.
Your data
Who handles what, and how it’s protected. The full list is in the Privacy page.
Access tokens, encrypted
To publish for you, Instagram gives Season an access token. Season encrypts it with AES-256-GCM before storing it, and decrypts it only on its own servers, at the moment it talks to Instagram for you.
Payments by Stripe
Payments and invoices are handled by Stripe. Your card number never touches Season’s servers: we keep a customer id, your plan, and your card’s brand and last 4 digits.
AI by Anthropic
Season uses Anthropic’s models to read your brand and write your posts. To do that, we send Anthropic your brand information, your photos, the files you add (like your menu) and your one-line edits. Anthropic processes this data to answer the request and doesn’t use it to train its models. We don’t use your data to train models either.
Where it lives
Your account, your season and your files are stored with Supabase (database and storage, on AWS in us-east-1, in the United States). The site and app are hosted on Vercel. Everything travels encrypted, and each account can only read its own data, enforced in the database itself.
Read the Privacy page for everything we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
