What we collect, what we do with it, and how to get rid of it. In plain words.

Last updated: Oct 11, 2026

In short

  • Season needs your email, your brand (what’s public on your Instagram and website, plus anything you choose to add) and permission to read your Instagram profile and posts, publish on your account and read your post stats. That’s it.
  • We never see your Instagram password. You log in on Instagram’s own screen.
  • We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads in Season.
  • You can delete everything from your settings in one minute.

What we collect

  • Your account: email address, name, time zone, and whether you want the Saturday preview by email or as a notification.
  • Your brand: the @ or website you paste, what we read from them (your name, colors, fonts, products, tone, and public photos from your Instagram profile and your website), and what you choose to add: photos, PDFs like your menu or brand book, and links like a Pinterest board. Photos you add as inspiration are only studied for the look, never posted. You can add or remove photos in Brand.
  • Your Instagram data: once you connect, Instagram gives Season your account id, username, account type, profile picture, follower and post counts, your recent posts (Season saves up to 12 of their photos, each with the first line of its caption cut to 40 characters, to use in your posts), and the stats of the posts Season published (reach, views, likes, comments, saves, shares). Season keeps an access token to publish for you. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
  • Your posts: the titles, captions, visuals and schedule of your season, plus your one-line edits.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We keep a customer id, your plan, and the brand and last 4 digits of your card. Your invoices are kept by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers.
  • The waitlist: if you join it before Season opens, your email, the @, website or kind of business you choose to share, the page you signed up from, and the campaign tags of the link that brought you (like utm_source).
  • Technical data: requests to our servers (IP address, browser, pages, errors) in our hosting logs, to keep Season running and secure.
  • Cookies: see the Cookie settings page.

What we do with it

  • Read your brand, plan your season, write captions, draw your visuals and publish them on your Instagram at the scheduled times.
  • Read your post stats to adjust the mix of topics to what works for you.
  • Send you the emails Season needs: the Saturday preview, trial and payment reminders, a reconnect request if Instagram disconnects your account.
  • If you joined the waitlist: tell you when Season opens.
  • Bill you, and answer when you write to us.
  • Keep Season secure and fix bugs.

We don’t use your data to train models, and we don’t use your photos for anything other than your own posts.

AI

Season uses Anthropic’s models to read your brand and write your posts. To do that, we send Anthropic your brand information, your photos, the files you add (like your menu) and your one-line edits. Anthropic processes this data to answer the request and doesn’t use it to train its models.

Who helps us

These companies process data for Season, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

  • Supabase: database, storage for your visuals and the files you add, login codes.
  • Vercel: hosting and logs.
  • Stripe: payments and invoices.
  • Resend: sending our emails.
  • Anthropic: the AI that reads your brand and writes your posts.
  • Meta (Instagram): giving us your profile and recent posts, publishing your posts and giving us their stats, through the official Instagram API.

Your data is stored in the United States. Some of these companies may also process it in other countries. When your data leaves your country, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

Your Instagram access

  • Season asks only for permission to read your profile and posts, publish posts and read post stats. It never reads or sends messages, likes, follows or comments.
  • You can remove Season anytime: in Instagram, under Settings and activity, then Apps and websites. Or in Season, under Settings, Disconnect Instagram.
  • When you remove Season in Instagram, Meta tells us and we delete the access token right away: Season can’t publish or read anything on your account anymore.
  • If you also ask Meta to delete your data, we delete the connection and the photos we had saved from your account, and you get a confirmation code on the deletion page.
  • Posts already published stay on Instagram. They are yours, on your account.

How long we keep it

  • While your account is open: everything above, so your season can run.
  • When you delete your account: your season and visuals, your brand, the photos and PDFs you added, and Season’s access to your Instagram are deleted. Your subscription is canceled at the same time.
  • What we keep: your invoices, for as long as tax law requires.
  • If you try Season without creating an account, what we read about your brand and what you added stay in an anonymous draft, deleted automatically 30 days after you last used it. Ask us and we delete it sooner.
  • If you joined the waitlist: your sign-up, until you ask us to remove it.
  • Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time, then deleted.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can see what we have about you, correct it, download your visuals, and delete your account from your settings, no email needed. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California or another place with a privacy law, you also have the right to object to some processing, to ask for a copy of your data, and to complain to your local authority. Write to hello@seasonfeed.com and we answer within 30 days.

Security

Everything travels encrypted. Instagram tokens are encrypted at rest. Each account can only read its own data, enforced in the database itself. No system is perfect: if you think something is wrong, tell us right away.

Children

Season is made for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes and contact

If this page changes in a way that matters, we email you before it applies. Season is operated by Merios Life LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, which is responsible for your data. For anything about your data: hello@seasonfeed.com.
